Cyanogen has announced it has closed out its series C round of funding with a strategic investment from Foxconn, one of world's biggest contract manufacturers that counts names like Apple and Samsung amongst its clients.

Micromax’s subsidiary brand Yu has launched the all new Yuphoria, a successor to the Yureka in India. Priced at Rs 6,999, it’s the company’s second Cyanogen-based smartphone and claims to bring features seen in a flagship device at an affordable price.
The smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1080 pixels resolution with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Yu Yuphoria smartphone comes with metal body. Yu’s Co-founder and CEO Rahul Sharma revealed the metal stamping process for the phone and physical vapour deposition used for the multi-colour along with polishing and anti-fingerprint coating. The device promises better grip and a flagship feel.
